"This lens is a bit of a throwback, but a very good, sharp throwback. I appreciate my Canon 5D and the various L series lenses, but using this on my 5D is like going back in time to the heavier, well made, sharp-as-a-tack lenses of 25-30 years ago."

"Excellent contrast and color rendering. Sharpness is comparable to best Canon lenses like 135/2. Flare control is very good. This lens has moderate amount of chromatic aberration, which can be removed in some RAW converters, but some Zeiss ZE lenses have better correction."

"I was a bit disappointed with the color fringing of darker objects against the highlights when viewed 100% but was able to cleanup that up with PS."
