Tried a few of these and picked the best of the three, there was quite a bit of sample variation noticed on the D8oo bodies I use. Tested it in earnest and was surprised, it easily outperformed my Nikon 24-70 f2.8 the sample I have is sharp wide open from corner to corner, unable to see a visible difference until F11 when diffraction becomes visible. The VR is very good, Af performance is fast, accurate and silent. My only concern with this lens will be durability - time will answer that one.
