On top of a very big hill, lies a sacred temple. There's a folklore that revolves around this place. The Khmer empire was thought to be a rich and powerful race in the 18th centuries. The Chinese saw this as a threat and didn't want to engage in any type of war. Instead, they asked the Emperor to have the face of Buddha face North (towards China), instead of the traditional East to protect the country.
