"It's a great lens, definitely worth saving the money from the Nikon 70-200mm. It's great for portraits as well, and it's more durable and sturdy than I expected."

"Image quality is outstanding. Pull for manual focus is a sweet feature."

"It does have some CA issues when used wide open and you don't watch the rim light angle. I wouldn't recommend this for use with creative lens flare photos, your subjects will have a green or blue halo."

It actually autofocuses with a D5100? I was concerned about that.

This lens worked well for me (on a NIKON D5100) for stationary subjects, and basketball games. However it did not focus fast enough for indoor track events.
