Rated 4 out of 5 stars by 105 users at B&H Photo Video

"This lens autofocuses very quickly and the optics are incredibly sharp. The 18-270mm range is the perfect all around range especially with the close focus capabilities at the 270mm end."

"For the price this lens is a very good buy. The vibration compensation works well and the autofocus is fast on my d5000."

"I only rate it as a four star lens due to zoom creep when the lens is pointed downward."

It has a built-in motor. I am using it on Nikon D5100 which has no Focusing motor inside.

Not sure how my D3100 works with this lens if it has no built-in motor drive. Mine works perfectly.
