"I have had this lens for over 5 years, and it is absolutely amazing for portraits"

"I am using this 70mm Sigma EX DG primarily as a Macro lens on my Nikon D80. The build is excellent. The EX quality is evident. Smooth, quick AF."

"The lens has a screw-on hood and when not on camera you have to find a place to secure it, versus reversing and stowing on the lens itself."

.... and you can also read that in some honest test about this lens, example "Lenstip"

This is a very fine lens, and one of the sharpest, but the text above  = " Smooth, quick AF." - Well, it can not be more wrong, it is not smooth, it is noisy, and it is certainly NOT fast, that is in fact the only downside of this lens, but be not fooled by this non true text, if this issue matters to you.
