it DOSE work with the D7100... and because of that... it ALSO works with the Nikon D7000 :D you can safely disregard that last comment on the D7000 ;)

I bought one of these only to learn that while the lens does have an internal focus motor, it will not autofocus on a Sony A7R II with LA-EA3 adapter. It needs the LA-EA4 to autofocus. It's not that big a deal for macro photography, but it certainly takes away from the lens for other uses.
