GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER ADDITIONAL COMMENT REGARDING MINOLTA MAXXUM 50mm f/1.4 Lens: Both the f/1.4 lens as well as the f/1.7 lens produce less sharp images than the 50mm f/1.4 Sigma Lens in my experience with all three lenses under different lighting conditions.

Correction from George Washington Carver: In my mention of the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens and the Minolta Maxxum 50mm f/1.7 I mistakely said: I have noticed that at f/14, ISO 200, the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens produces considerably sharper images than the Minolta Maxxum 50mm f/1.7 lens does at an ISO of 200 at f/1.7. What I wanted to say is: I have notices that at f/1.4 (not f/14), ISO 200,the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens produces considerably sharper images than the Minolta Maxxum 50mm f/1.4 lens does at an ISO of 200 at f/1.7. Thanks. George Washington Carver

The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens at f/1.4, ISO at 200, produces super sharp images inside a room with only a lamp for light and with window light the images are outstanding at f/1.4, ISO 200. I have noticed that at f/l4, ISO 200, the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens lens produces considerably sharper images than the Minolta Maxxum 50mm f/1.7 lens does at an ISO of 200 at f/1.7.
