"So what is great about it? Well most everything I would say. It is a performer, it's sharp, it's light, it's sturdy, easy to use, and a good all round lens, and also it's easy on your budget from B & H."

bhphotovideo.com

"I like the lense. It is a great walk around lense which is light and fast enough for situations where other lenses fail. I used to have the 17-85mm EF-S Canon lense before and was looking for a faster alternative that is having a good wide ancle"

bhphotovideo.com

"Not much noticeable distortion (except at widest settings and it is only noticeable if you are looking for it or need super-straight lines) and CAs are minimal."

Is this the same as the Sigma 17-70 / 2.8-4.5? I can't seem to find that one on lenshero, but the lacking .5 is bothering me. I'd like to know which new cameras my 17-70 / 2.8-4.5 is compatible with.

I've been using these lenses for more than a year and I am very happy with them.
