"One of the main pros of these lens is the AF system – fast and acurate."

"The zoom is smooth once you get the handle of it, and its low light capability is excellent considering the price."

"I've seen a little bit of color aberrations on edges towards magenta, but it also could be sensor related... new camera body, and new lens.."

Thank you for your comment. It made all the difference in my not purchasing this lens. Much appreciated!

I wasn't happy at all with my experience with this lens. I bought it just before our cruise as my walk-around lens.  On the first week of my use while I was on vacation, the autofocus got stuck and so then I had to use manual focus. The front barrel got stuck too after that.  When I sent it to their service center, to hopefully get it covered under its  four-year warranty, I was told it was due to excessive force.  Now, I not only have blurry pictures, I also had to pay $140 bucks for it.  For a few more bucks and I could've bought the sturdier Canon 17-55.
