Send it to Sigma to have it re chipped. Cost me £35 2 years ago, so not sure about the price now!

This lens is not recognized on the Nikon D5100. Is there some way to make it work?

turn it on then attach it

I can't even get the Nikon D 7000 to turn on when this lens is attached. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Sinan,
according to Sigma
this lens lacks a focus motor, their website says "*Nikon Mount: NO built in motor lens".

The Nikon D7000 has a built in focus motor, so it will definitely autofocus with this lens. Other Nikon DSLRs like the Nikon D5100 and Nikon D3100 lack a focus motor, so they will not autofocus with this lens.

I think you're asking an even more specific question, will this lens autofocus with the Nikon D7000 in video mode? From what I've read it might not, this
thread at flickr
points out that some Sigma and Tamron lenses do not autofocus in video mode with the D7000, even though they have a built in focus motor.

You might have to ask Sigma to be sure!

I've heard this lens isn't not functional on AutoFocus with D7000 (lack of motor) specially with video mode. input?
Thanks
