Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8 Photo #1 Inkpots - Johnston Canyon

Fueled by a 20oz T-Bone steak the night before, we decided to attempt the hike to Inkpots via Johnston Canyon. The trail was very icy from the parking lot on. We saw several wipeouts and many close calls. Spikes were a must for us. It must be the Sulphur Mountain training, but we arrived at the Inkpots after just 1hr 39min sign-to-sign. Back when we did this hike one Summer some years back we were quite exhausted and took far longer than 2 hours 1 way. Very glad that we're not dying from a hike like this anymore. I'd say that although this is very similar in length (5km) to Sulphur Mountain, it's a much easier hike due to the relative lack of elevation gain. The colours are much prettier in the Summer, but it is still very neat to see in the Winter. I like the roundish area in this pot that's not yet frozen over. Possibly from the water movement below, who knows. www.wilsonhui.com
