"The lens is fast and sharp. A real joy to use."

bhphotovideo.com

"I bought this lens to fill the gap between my 14-24 and 70-200 and have not been disappointed. It is as every bit as good as the other two professional products."

bhphotovideo.com

"There is clearly an issue with this lens, as reports on sharpness and focus accuracy varies widely. It's probably a tolerance issue and I am sure Nikon is working to solve these problems."

Scott,, the Link to amazaon is actually a Coffee Mug/Flask..... LOL,
I already have one,, Great for carrying a Hot drinks and making you Bag look like your a Pro.

Also Great for a laugh when you boast about a new lens to mate and THROW it across the room.

If you're on DX and considering this, remember the 17-55mm f/2.8 from nikon equates to the same 35mm focal length (24-70), and probably what you're looking for. Tamron and Sigma do similar 17-50mm's as well.

I just bought this lens for my D800 as I am new to FX. It is seriously fast when focusing and bokeh at 70mm is amazing for any portraits. Highly recommended. It's my daily carry around lens. Fast, sharp but abit heavy.
