reviewswhat are people saying

"Considering the zoom range and the VR, this lens qualifies as a superb value for DX owners."

bhphotovideo.com

"Focusing to 9 (film plane) it meets my needs perfectly. Vibration reduction is a definite plus as I do not like dealing with a tripod but shoot most of my photos hand-held."

bhphotovideo.com

"The major drawback is speed, 3.5 is also a compromise and this results in low light issues where one does not want to use flash."

if you are using an aps-c camera its not wide angle, its 35mm starting range due to the crop

I have this but how do you use it as a wide angle lens? Sorry i am new to the Nikon and more advanced photography but I'm trying to take wide angle indoor shots and can't get that 'look'. Thanks!

Fabulous depth of field. Great for indoor crowd shots where all will be in focus, and great travel lens when you want to be shot with the background scene both to in focus. Just as our vision is.

An excellent lens. Sharp enough and the VR is very much helpful. Highly recommended.
