"I keep this lens on my camera almost all of the time. This lens is great with such a wide range of zoom, so there is no real need to change lenses. It is lightweight and has quiet operation. The VR wasn't a huge selling factor for me, and I find that I don't use it hardly ever. All around, this lens is great and I recommend it!"
"This is a very versatile lens, it has a great focal range making it useful for most situations. There are certainty faster lenses but at this price point, you are getting a good VR lens with a respectable range, and acceptable image quality with automatic and manual focus adjustment ring."
