this comparison sucks. theres nothing here but spec data and a bunch of useless "comprables" that aren't even close to comparable - 200, 300, 400, youre actually comparing a 17-70 to a 500mm lens?  "Snapsort is not aware of any interesting strengths shared by these two products" why dont you trying PUTTING IT ON A CAMERA AND TAKING PICTURES WITH IT
